SUKKUR, July 19: A landlord and two peasants were kidnapped by armed bandits in the Ahmad Khan Dahar village, some 40 kilometres off Daharki, on Sunday night. Two of the kidnapped were identified as landlord Mohammad Afzal Arain and his peasant, Wazir Ahmad Daudpoto. The name of the other peasant could not be ascertained.

ACCIDENT: Fourteen persons were injured when a coach overturned on the Indus Highway near Kallar Goth here on Monday. The passenger coach, coming from upcountry, overturned while saving a motorcyclist.

The injured were identified as Saleem, Jehanzeb, Anwar Saeed, Shakeel, Zakria, Syed Badshah, Rehman, Jehangir, Hanifa, Mohammad Shah, Asad Khan, Sher Mohammad, Fazal Ali and Kashif.

Twelve of the injured were taken to the Rohri Taluka Hospital and two were taken to a basic health unit in Sangi. Two injured persons were later shifted to the Sukkur Civil Hospital because of their critical condition.

KILLED: Seventeen-year-old Ali Hassan Solangi was killed after being run over by an oil tanker in the Hafiz Suleman Dahar village, near Daharki, on Sunday night.
