HYDERABAD, Aug 5: The matron of the Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Kotri, Siyani Naz, has levelled allegations of turpitude against the director and the additional director of the sanatorium.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Thursday, she accused the officials of pressuring her to 'procure' nurses for them. She said she was being victimized and threatened with dire consequences as she had refused to do so. She said she had also been demoted.

She appealed to the authorities for justice and protection. When contacted by telephone, the two officials of the sanatorium denied the allegations. They said the matron was irregular in her duties and had refused to wear uniform and follow rules and regulations.

They said residents of the colony had also made complaints against her, adding that a report against her indiscipline had been submitted to higher authorities of the health department. They said she had levelled the allegations against them to cover up her own misdeeds.
