SUKKUR, Aug 11: The Sukkur chapter of the Sindh High Court Bar Association has condemned a government decision to launch a military operation in Balochistan.
The managing committee of the Bar association, in an urgent meeting held here on Wednesday discussed the issue and observed that the decision was against solidarity and integrity of Pakistan.
In an unanimous resolution, it called upon the government to immediately initiate negotiations with Baloch leaders for political solution of the problem. The meeting decided that lawyers of upper Sindh would wear black arm-bands, hoist black flags on court buildings and hold a meeting here on August 13 to protest against the decision of a military crackdown in Balochistan.
The meeting, presided over by the Bar association president, Imdad Ali Awan, was held on the call of the Pakistan Bar Council.
