New Zealand FM calls on Musharraf

ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: New Zealand's Foreign Minister Phil Goff on Wednesday called on President Pervez Musharraf to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues including Iraq and Afghanistan, officials said.

Besides, bilateral relations, they discussed regional and international issues and the president emphasized the importance that Pakistan attaches to enhancing political and economic ties with New Zealand.

Gen Musharraf particularly emphasized the need for increasing trade and economic co-operation. He emphasized the importance of making the composite dialogue process with India purposeful.

President said, it was important for Pakistan and India to move towards the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. -APP
