HYDERABAD: MPA alleges harassment

HYDERABAD, Sept 7: PPP MPA Sassui Palijo told the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, here on Tuesday that under instructions of the provincial chief minister , she, MPA Makhdoom Jamiluzzaman and some party workers had been tortured and humiliated during the Tharparkar by-election.

During the hearing of a petition jointly filed by her, Mr Jamil and People's Party Parliamentarians activist Abdul Sattar Lohar, she alleged that she had been dragged, humiliated and kidnapped by police officials under the directives of the chief minister.

She stated that it had been done as being a polling agent of her party's candidate, she was trying to verify computerised national identity cards of voters.
