KHAIRPUR: Tension grips Kingri

KHAIRPUR, Sept 20: The routine life remained disturbed in the kutcha area of Kingri taluka following clashes between Jagirani and Solangi groups. Traffic on the Sukkur-Pir-Jo-Goth-Khairpur road remained suspended as the two rival groups were attacking each other's positions with light and heavy weapons for the last two days.

Intermittent firing have so far caused injuries to two people from the Jagirani side. They were injured when a rocket shell launched from the Solangi side hit them. Two wagons of Talib Solangi and Sanaullah Solangi were hijacked in Kot Pul area on the Pir-Jo-Goth-Sukkur road by Jagiranis on Saturday.

The Ahmedpur police have registered two separate cases against 48 Solangis for injuring Zahid Jagirani and Kashif Jagirani. Complainant Allah Dino Jagirani nominated 23 Solangis for injuring Kashif Jagirani.

Complainant Hashim Jagirani registered a case against 25 Solangis for injuring Zahid Jagirani. The situation had deteriorated in the area when seven Solangis of a family were killed in July 2004 in a deadly clash.
