JHANG, Sept 30: Governor Khalid Maqbool has directed the DCO to resolve the tussle between some office-bearers of Jhang Officers' Club and members.

Some members of the Jhang Rotary Club presented a memorandum to the Punjab governor during his recent visit here stating that some of the Rotarians who were highly educated and enjoyed high status in society applied for the membership of the officer's club.

They obtained the membership numbers after depositing the prescribed fee and appeared before the Jhang DCO, who is also the chairman of the officer's club, to prove their credentials to his satisfaction.

But some top office-bearers of the club, against whom some applicants contested the Jhang Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections recently, thwarted their entry to the club. The applicants alleged that the sitting office-bearers of the officer's club had not allowed holding of fresh elections for the last few years.
