FAISALABAD, Oct 3: Nine gangsters took away cloth and yarn worth Rs1 million and other valuables from a weaving factory in People's Town here on Saturday night.

Reports said the bandits forced their entry into the factory of Shabbir Hussain and held all the staff hostage. The outlaws loaded the bundles of yarn, cloth and computers on a truck and fled.

EIGHT BOOKED: The Civil Lines police have registered a case against eight villagers on charges of kidnapping an injured youth from the Allied Hospital here on Sunday.

Reports said Muhammad Sadique in an application alleged that his nephew, Waheed Qaisar, was under treatment in the hospital when Mehmoodul Hassan, Shabbir, Waheed, Anum, Imran and others abducted him. The police booked the accused under Section 364 of the PPC and started investigation.
