SWABI, Oct 4: The provincial government has directed those teachers who, instead of doing their routine work, are working with lawmakers, to desist from this practice otherwise disciplinary action would be taken against them.

The directive has been given in a circular issued to all schools four weeks ago. The circular was issued by the provincial cabinet after it came to the notice of the government that some schoolteachers, instead of performing their duties, are working with MNAs, ministers, senators and other lawmakers.

"The provincial government, therefore, decided that all such teachers be directed to stop these illegal activities immediately," a source told Dawn. The department heads have been directed to send names of those teachers who do not comply with the orders.
