ISLAMABAD, Oct 13: Habib Wahabul Khairi, a Supreme Court lawyer, and 10 other people on Wednesday submitted their affidavits to Chief Justice of Pakistan Nazim Hussain Siddiqui to counter the affidavit of Magistrate Nasir Javed Rana , claiming that the police had produced Mr Khairi before him while seeking his remand.

Mr Khairi also requested the chief justice to constitute a full bench to hear his case in an open court. Presently, the chief justice is hearing the case in his chambers.

Those who filed the affidavits in addition to Wahabul Khairi are Sheikh Anwarul Haq, advocates high court Farhat Zafar, Miss Irshad, Mohammad Fazil Siddiqui, Muhammad Khalid Abbas, Latif Azar, Owais Khairi, Abdul Aleem Zaigham, Usman Hameed Butt and Abdul Rauf.

In their affidavits, these lawyers submitted that they remained present outside the court of the magistrate till evening but Wahabul Khairi was not produced before the court to get his remand on that day.

Earlier on Monday, Saleem Raza, stenographer of the magistrate; Raja Ashfaq, reader; Raja Ali Abbasi, clerk; Syed Mohammad Mosa Shah, Naib Qasid; ASI, Mohammad Sharif, advocates high court Tehsin Khalid, Shah Mahmood Moghal, Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed and Maqbool Gujar had submitted in their affidavits that they had seen Mr Khairi when the magistrate remanded him in police custody for ten days.
