SUKKUR, Nov 26: The Rawalpindi-bound Quetta Express was stopped by members of a wedding party for two hours near Jacobabad on Friday when they found that a bogie for them had not been attached to the train.
Naeem Malik had reserved the bogie for Lahore for the wedding party of Abdul Razzaq Mughal on November 11.
When the train reached the Jacobabad railway station, members of the marriage party was informed by railway officials that the bogie had not been attached to the train. The members of the marriage party got enraged, 12 of them forcibly boarded the train while others were left on the platform.
At some distance, the angry members of the party pulled the chain, forcingthe train to stop. The members of the marriage party got down, lay on the track and forced the driver to return the train to the Jacobabad railway station.
At the railway station, negotiations were held between the members of the marriage party and railway officials. It was decided that the bogie would be attached to the Chiltan Express for the wedding party after which the train was allowed to move.
