OKARA: Man shot dead by brother

OKARA, Dec 12: A man was shot dead allegedly by his brother over a property dispute here on Sunday. Jehangir was sitting along with his brother, Bashir, and the mother when his another brother, Allah Ditta, came there and shot him dead. Hujra Shah Muqeem police have registered a case.

BOOKED: A clerk of the tehsildar's court was booked on Sunday for tampering with the record. Mohabat Ali filed an application against Bashir and Manzoor of Chak 7/4-L in the court of the district officer (revenue) which was sent to the court of tehsildar for a report.

But clerk Sabir tampered with the record allegedly after taking bribe from the rival party and returned the application to the DO office without the knowledge of the tehsildar. Following an inquiry, the same was proved bogus and a case was registered against the clerk.
