SUKKUR: Three killed over karo-kari

SUKKUR, Dec 13: A man and a woman were killed by armed men after being dubbed as karo and kari in the Khanpur Mahar village of Ghotki district on Sunday.

Aasia, wife of Wahab Pitafi, was gunned down at her house after which the armed men went to the house of Rano Pitafi and shot him dead.

Bhooral Pitafi and Saeed Pitafi are alleged to be involved in the double-murder. They suspected that Aasia was maintaining illicit relations with Rano. Wahab Pitafi, the husband of the deceased woman, and Miral Pitafi, the brother of Rano, registered an FIR against the accused.

JACOBABAD: One person was killed on the pretext of karo-kari in the Abdullah Mazari village, near Kashmore, on Monday. Ghulam Nabi was at his home when six armed persons entered the house and shot him dead. The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime.

The brother of the deceased, Alibad, has lodged an FIR against Shah Bux Mazari, Suleman, Rahim Bux Khatan and two unknown persons.
