SIALKOT, Dec 27: Robbers threw acid on the face of the daughter of a trader on offering resistance in Muradpur here on Sunday night. Police said three robbers entered the house of Haji Abdul Razzaq , held his family at gunpoint and started collecting valuables.

As his daughter Saira, 22, put up resistance, the robbers threw acid on her face and fled away with gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth Rs250,000. The girl was admitted to hospital in critical condition. Muradpur police have registered a case with no arrest.

KIDNAP: Five gunmen kidnapped the daughter of a labourer when she was going to a madressah in Daska city on Monday. Daska police have registered a case against Zeeshan alias Shani, Farooq Mughal, Najma Bibi and their two unidentified accomplices with no arrest.

SENTENCED: An anti-terrorism court on Monday handed down death sentence to dacoit-cum-killer Abrar Hasan for killing a landlord during a dacoity incident in his house in Pindi Panjoraan village here on Jan 3.
