MIR BAZ: PPP senior vice-president Mir Baz Khan Khetran wants the federal government to resolve Balochistan problems amicably. "Constitution of committees or commissions was not going to do the needful," he told newsmen here

He maintained that if it was not done sincerely, growing resentment among the people of Balochistan would cause anarchy. He demanded that the revenue from mega projects like Gawadar should be spent directly on the development of local people.

He said the Survey of Pakistan had not yet prepared the report of Gawadar land consolidation while land mafia of Karachi was making money. Mir Baz believed that the restoration and enforcement of 1973 constitution in its true spirit could bring political stability.

He severely criticized local legislators-cum-feudals for not initiating projects to tame hill torrents which caused devastation in DG Khan and Taunsa last week.
