MULTAN, Jan 9: The district council has passed a resolution demanding shifting of a plastic manufacturing factory from the New Multan (residential) area to either outside the city limits or in the industrial estate.

District council members Sehrish Khan and Shahid Jamal moved the resolution that the people in the New Multan were worried because of pollution the factory had been creating. The house also demanded initiation of the construction work immediately on the dual carriageway between Multan and Qadirpur Raan.
