Published January 15, 2005

MIRPURKHAS, Jan 14: People's Party Parliamentarians MNA and Central Executive Committee member Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur on Thursday said any illogical bifurcation of the Hyderabad district would not be accepted and asked the Sindh government to think twice before making any final decision.

The PPP leader said bifurcating of Hyderabad on political or ethnic lines would not be tolerated by the people of whole of the Hyderabad district and questioned the Sindh government's very intentions behind the exercise, said a statement.

He said it appeared that the government wanted to pit the people of one area against the other through kicking up controversial administrative steps and actions.

Mr Talpur made it clear that whosoever made such controversial changes in the districts would be squarely held responsible for any untoward incidents, adding that people of Sindh would not forgive such elements trying to fan ethnicity.
