RAWALPINDI, Feb 11: Chief of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Azad Kashmir Sardar Ijaz Afzal Khan has stressed inclusion of Kashmiris in Pakistan-India talks, saying bilateral negotiations cannot solve the decade-long issue.

He said this while speaking at a seminar on 'Maqbool Butt Shaheed Life and Struggle' organized by Kashmir Students Freedom Movement. Mr Afzal said talks, in which Kashmiris were given representation, were acceptable to the people of Kashmir.

He paid rich tributes to Maqbool Butt, and said Maqbool's life and struggle had been for the liberation of Kashmir. He rendered untold sacrifices for this purpose and gave freedom movement a new vigour and strength.

He said the proposal of Srinagar-Muzzafarabad Bus Service appeared to be attractive but there was a big conspiracy behind it. This bus service should be linked to an agreement, he added.

The Jamaat-i-Islami AJK representative said division of Kashmir was no solution to the lingering dispute, adding that it would never satisfy the people of Kashmir. President Kashmir Freedom Movement (KFM) Sardar Aftab Ahmad Khan described the historical background of this imbroglio and emphasized on organizing freedom struggle on modern scientific base.

Only then can we fulfil the unaccomplished mission of Maqbool Butt, he said. Mr Aftab urged the youth of Kashmir to continue their struggle and try to reach international policymakers to convince them for a solution of this issue.
