HYDERABAD, Feb 19: Twelve points have been declared sensitive in Jamshoro district on the eve of Ashura.

These points include Pir Wahid Muqam, Tauheed mosque, Al-Abbas Imambargah, Bilal Mosque in Bihar Colony, Rehmaniya mosque, Al-Hussaini Imambargah, Khuda-ki-Basti, Imambargah Abul Fazal, Siddique Akbar mosque (Kotri taluka), Dargah Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and Sabzwari Imambargah (Sehwan taluka).

About 1,465 police and 200 Rangers personnel have been deployed to ensure peaceful Ashura processions and Majalis. Some 200 policemen were called from the Police Training Centre of Shahdadpur whereas 200 Rangers would supplement the efforts of police. Patrolling has been intensified in the district. The mourning processions will be monitored through video cameras and tape recorders.

PML: Activists of the Pakistan Muslim League from Kotri staged a demonstration outside the press club supporting Sindh chief minister's decision of sacking former revenue minister Imtiaz Sheikh.

They said the chief minister had taken a very bold initiative by removing a corrupt minister. They said it indicated the fact that Mr Arbab wanted to get rid of corruption. They said they were with the Sindh chief minister and support his decisions. They claimed no one could organize the PML in Sindh except for Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
