GUJRANWALA, Feb 24: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) observed complete strike to press for the acceptance of their demands here on Thursday.
APCA divisional president Tahir Mahmood Bhatti and other office bearers visited several state-run departments and expressed their satisfaction after witnessing unity among protesting employees.
They demanded that the government should accept all demands of the APCA immediately while pending cases of employees regarding their promotion and move-over be settled on priority basis. They also called for the reinstatement of sacked employees of Works and Services Department following implementing the orders of DCO.
SARGODHA: The All-Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) observed complete strike here on Thursday to press their demand for increase in their salaries and allowances. All government and semi-government offices wore a deserted look as clerks gathered in the compound of irrigation office.
APCA president Muhammad Zakir and other leaders criticized the pay committee decisions and claimed that the chief minister refused to see a delegation of labour leaders and remained busy in kite flying.
They said pays and perks of parliamentarians had been raised by 300 per cent while salary of clerks was increased by only 15 per cent in July last. The protesters marched on roads and terminated in front of district courts.
