GUJRANWALA, Feb 24: The board of intermediate and secondary education (BISE) has set up 531 centres for secondary school annual examination 2005 to be commenced from March 5 and issued roll number slips to all candidates.
This was announced by BISE Chairman Dr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri while speaking at a news conference at his office here on Thursday.
He said as many as 158,000 students - boys and girls - were taking annual examination while the board administration had completed all necessary arrangements in this regard.
He said special monitoring and raiding teams had been formed at the provincial level while the board's raiding teams would also check the examination centres. Mr Ghauri asked the candidates to contact the BISE office if they do not receive their roll number slips by March 2.
CAUGHT: Three industrialists were caught red-handed while stealing electricity for their factories by a raiding team of Gepco here on Thursday. Owners of re-rolling mills got connection from direct transmission lines after tampering with their meters. The raiding team also lodged FIRs against Javed Ahmad, Dil Muhammad and Ali Muhammad with Sabzi Mandi police.
