KHAIRPUR, March 14: Twenty-one people, including children and women, fell unconscious after consuming poisonous food in Mang Tagar village near here on Sunday night.

The victims were members of families of two brothers. They included Mohammad Essa, his wife and daughter Nooran and Farzana, Zamiran Khatoon, Mohammad Siddiq, his sons Zaheer Khan and Ameer, Irfan, Razia, Akhtiar Khatoon, Mohammad Usman, Naveed Khan, Ibrahim, his son Abid Ali, Muniran, Hidayat Khatoon, Abida, Farid and Savera.

They were brought to the Civil Hospital Khairpur where doctors said that they were out of danger.

CASE: Fourteen persons were booked for collecting money on the pretext of a lottery in the Faiz Ganj area.
