DHAKA, March 21: An agent of the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation returned in Dhaka on Sunday to discuss the terms of reference for an FBI probe into the Jan 27 grenade attack in Habiganj that killed former finance minister Shah Kibria and four others. The return of Trung Vu, who stayed in Dhaka for two days last month, was delayed as officials of Bangladesh and the United States failed to finalize the terms of reference.

A press release issued by the US embassy in Dhaka on Monday said Dhaka had requested Washington to send Mr Vu back to Bangladesh for going ahead with the inquiry. “Following the recent developments in the investigation into the killing of former finance minister Kibria, the FBI agent returned to Dhaka on March 20 to meet again with Bangladesh law enforcement officials,” the release said.
