VARANASI, March 24: President Gen Pervez Musharraf?s brother Javed Musharraf has been visiting Kolkota and Varanasi and was headed on Thursday for the exotic town of Khajuraho, known for its erotic sculptures. Mr Musharraf, who arrived from Kolkata in Varanasi on Thursday morning, was accorded a warm reception by the district administration and police officials, Zeenews TV channel said. He visited the Buddhist temple township of Sarnath, Banaras Hindu University and took a boat ride on the River Ganga from Dashaswamedh Ghat to Rajendra Ghat before winding up his visit, the channel quoted police officials as saying. It could not be learnt whether President Gen Musharraf?s mother and son, also visiting India, were travelling with Mr Javed Musharraf.
