FAISALABAD. March 29 : Sale of plots in Value-Addition City (VAC) sprawling over 181 acres of land near Khurrianwala will start from next week, says project director, Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC), Brig Siddiqi (retired).

Addressing a press conference at FIEDMC offices here on Tuesday, he said that the company was created on the basis of public and private partnership to ensure systematic, planned and balanced industrial growth of this region.

It has proposed two projects of VAC and Faisalabad Industrial City (FIC).

Giving salient features of the two projects, he said VAC was situated in close vicinity of the Khurrianwala Industrial belt. It would have approximately 95 plots of two acres, one acre and half acre each.

“The international concept of flatted factories is being introduced in VAC to encourage small and medium entrepreneurs engaged in value-added textile sector”, he said and added that eight acres of land had also been earmarked for commercial purpose. “It will also have a three-star hotel, petrol/gas station, an industrial mall and shops to cater to the immediate needs of industrial units.
