HYDERABAD, March 31: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Wednesday sought comments from the sessions judge, Nawabshah, who, according to an applicant, had forced her lawyer to withdraw a habeas corpus application.

The court directed the applicant to file a fresh application under section 491 of the CrPC read with its section 552 before the session judge who was asked to take appropriate action according to law.

The order was passed on an application filed by Ms Bibi who cited six private persons and the SHO of the Sakrand police as respondents.

The applicant requested the court to call for production of her daughter Soni who was being held in illegal detention by the private respondents.

She said that six months ago the private respondents kidnapped Soni and she approached the SHO but he did not take any action due to influence of the kidnappers.

She said that she had come to know that respondent Suleman had forcibly married Soni and kept her in detention.

Ms Bibi said that she was not being allowed by the private respondents to see her daughter.

She requested the court to issue rule nisi for her daughter?s production and direct the SHO to ensure her recovery.

Applicant?s counsel Imamuddin informed the court that the sessions judge had refused to entertain her application and forced her lawyer to withdraw it.
