NAWABSHAH: PML-Q leader resigns

NAWABSHAH, Jan 3: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) district president Ahmed Shah Lakyari has resigned from his office due to some personal engagements.

Talking to this correspondent on Saturday, he said he had sent the resignation to party chief Chaudhry Shujaat, Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali, Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar and Senator Nisar A. Memon.

HUNGER STRIKE: Union council-1 Nazim Khudadad Durrani and councillors observed a token hunger strike against the Taluka Municipal Administration on Saturday.

Mr Durrani said sanitary conditions were worst in the town.

Taluka Nazim Ali Akbar Jamali said payment of Durrani's brother, who was a contractor, had not been released due to non- satisfactory work hence he was pressuring for release of his brother's payment.
