LAHORE, Jan 3: Security forces arrested on Saturday six activists of an extremist group in connection with last month's twin suicide bombing attacks aimed at President Pervez Musharraf, intelligence officials said. The arrests came in an early morning raid on a mosque in the eastern city of Lahore, they said.
The men belonged to Jaish-i-Mohammed.
The group also has close ties with the former Taliban rulers of Afghanistan and is fighting Indian rule in occupied Kashmir. Officials have identified one of the bombers as a Kashmiri and another as an Afghan. -Reuters
