LARKANA: Poor law and order slated

LARKANA, Jan 10: A procession was taken out in Ratodero town on Saturday against the deteriorating law and order situation in the area.

Peoples Party Parliamentarians MNAs Anwar Bhutto, Khalid Iqbal Memon and Shahid Bhutto led the procession which started from the PPP office and ended at the main bus terminal.

Th protesters were carrying banners and placard. They chanted slogans against the police for failing to restore the law and order situation.

They also burnt tyres at different chowks and staged a sit-in at the main bus terminal.

Speaking on the occasion, the MNAs said increase in the crime rate in Shahdadkot, Ratodero and Naudero was a conspiracy to punish the voters of Benazir Bhutto.

They said if 17 kidnap victims were not recovered in a week, they would set out for a long march from Larkana to Karachi.

KILLED: A man, Sattar Bhatti, killed his fiance, Yasmeen, on the pretext of Karo-kari on Saturday.

Imam Bakhsh Bhatti, the father of the killed woman, registered an FIR with the Warisdino Machhi police station against Abdul Sattar and Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti for allegedly killing his daughter in Wasayo Bhutto village.

The police have arrested both accused and recovered two pistols from them.

CRIMINAL ASSAULT: A boy, Azeem Khuhawar, 5, was criminally assaulted in Mohalla Khudabad of the city on Saturday.

He was admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital after his relatives informed the Dari police.

The police have arrested Muzaffar Khokhar on the charges of criminal assault and began probe.
