THATTA, Jan 31: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F took out a protest procession in the Sujawal town and staged a sit-in on the Karachi-Badin Highway here on Saturday against debriefing of nuclear scientists.

The protesters, while raising slogans against the USA and what they called its puppets in Pakistan, marched from the Jamia Mosque Chowk to the highway where they staged the sit-in for one hour.

Speaking on the occasion, JUI-F Naib Amir Sindh Maulana Salehul Hudad, district Jamiat Tuleba-i-Islam president Manzoor Ahmad Haqqani, Saeed Raja, Bashir Bazmi, Saeedullah Sindhi, Umer Adil and others said the scientists were who being victimized had upheld the honour and dignity of the nation by providing an umbrella of atomic power to the country.

That no one could think about any aggression against Pakistan was due to its nuclear capabilities, the leaders maintained.

SCHOOLS: District Nazim Syed Shafqat Shah Shirazi has said primary schools lying closed due to shortage of teachers will be reopened in collaboration with the National Commission on Human Development.

He was speaking at a ceremony held to hand over stipends to Feeder School teachers and sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the NCHD office here on Friday.

He praised the NCHD for appointing local teachers at the schools.
