SUKKUR: Woman, two children kidnapped

SUKKUR, Feb 7: A woman and her two children were kidnapped by some unknown persons in Ukhri village near Faiz Ganj town Khairpur district on Friday.

Her husband, Sultan Shaikh, told police that Abdullah Shaikh kidnapped his wife, Aziman, 25, and children Masti Khan, 7, and one-year-old Shazia.

He said if his wife was not recovered soon, he would commit self-immolation.

MQM: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has expressedresentment over unhygienic conditions prevailing in the city due to mismanagement of the Sukkur taluka council.

In a statement issued here on Friday, zonal in charge Syed Abul Kalam Shah and office-bearers of the zonal committee feared that diseases could spread in Sukkur due to heaps of garbage and overflowing sewage in different parts, including Minara Road, Clock Tower and Queens Road areas.
