LARKANA, Feb 21: The district council, at a meeting held on Saturday, resolved to resort to protest if law and order situation was not improved in the district.

It expressed concern over poor law and order in the district and called for taking steps to improve the situation.

Speaking at the meeting, Badah Nazim Mohammad Khan Channa said some robbers had broken into the house of minority council member Parsram and injured his mother. He said the bandits had also taken away valuables.

Khair Mohammad Shaikh, Abdul Sangi, Badar Abbasi and Abdul Sattar Shaikh pointed towards the kidnapping of two persons in Ratodero who had still not been recovered. A trader had also been recently kidnapped in Shahdadkot, they regretted.

Referring to a clash between two groups of the Sangi clan, Abdul Qadir Sangi alleged that the police were avoiding to register an FIR.

Khair Mohammad Shaikh criticized the DPO for not attending the council meeting despite being informed.

KILLED: Two boys were killed in a firing when they were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony in Arzi Bhutto village on Saturday.

Ghani Umrani, 11, and Jinsar Umrani, 12, both cousins, were in a tractor trolley when bullets hit them.

They were rushed to the Chandka Medical College Hospital but could not survive.

Hashim Umrani, the father of Abdul Ghani, termed the incident a target killing and lodged an FIR with the Hyderi police against Mustafa Umrani, Shoukat Ali, Nadir Ali, Ghulam Serwar and Imdad Umrani.

The police arrested Shoukat and Serwar while others were absconding.
