DADU, April 10: Three women were kidnapped in two separate incidents in the district over matrimonial disputes on Friday night. Five armed men barged into the house of Usman Deepar in Khan- jo-Goth , Mehar taluka and kidnapped Safooran, 35, and Zaib, 17, at gunpoint.
The Faridabad police on the complaint of Usman Deepar registered an FIR against Anwar, Mansoor, Noor Mohammad, Mohammad and Mohammad Ali Deepar.
In another incident, three armed men entered the house of Nazeer Mallah in Karimabad on Friday night and kidnapped Rozina Mallah.
The Dadu town police registered an FIR against three accused Jamil, Zulfiqar and Farhan.
PROTEST: A large number of residents of Dawabo village staged a demonstration on the Indus Highway on Saturday to protest against the Sehwan police for not arresting the alleged killers of Qadir Bux and Nawaz Dal.
The two brothers were killed by three armed men over a matrimonial dispute in Sehwan town on Friday night.
The demonstrators placed bodies of the two brothers on the road as a result vehicular traffic remained suspended from 8am to 11am.
They said the police had neither registered a case against culprits nor had arrested them.
He alleged the SHO Sehwan police for protecting the accused.
Later, on the directives of DPO Javed Akhtar Odho, Sehwan police registered an FIR under section 302, QDO against three accused Ali Jan, Qasim and Ghulam.
QALANDAR'S TOMB: Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro has directed officials of the Auqaf and district administration to complete construction work on the tomb of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz so that Zaireen coming from different parts of the country may avail facilities.
He said this while presiding over a meeting of the officials of the Auqaf department and district administration in Sehwan on Saturday.
Sindh Auqaf secretary and DCO Dadu attended the meeting.
Mr Soomro directed the project director to expedite the construction work at the Dhamal court, drinking water, and drainage facilities.
He warned if any irregularity was detected, action would be taken against officials concerned.
The DCO, who is also the project director of Mazar, informed the Senate chairman that water tanks were established to provide drinking water to Zaireen.
Later, Mr Soomro visited different parts of the Mazar complex, laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha.
