KHAIRPUR, May 8: A couple and their child were killed by armed persons in the Kuriri village, Khanwari police jurisdiction, on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Hanif Brohi, 30; his wife, Rozina, 25; and their daughter, Sabran, 3. The couple died on the spot while the child succumbed to her injuries at the Khairpur Civil Hospital.

The reason behind the killing is said to be a land dispute.

In another incident, Khanzadi, 30, was killed in the Sanhri village, B-section police station jurisdiction, on Saturday.

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained.

KHAIRPUR PROTEST: Students of the Altaf Hussain Pathan high school took out a procession in Agra against a shortage of teachers in their school on Thursday.

They complained that some influential groups targeted them for political revenge and spoiling their education. They added that at present three teachers worked in their school.

SNATCHED: Some armed men snatched a motorcycle from Saleem Thebo on Wednesday near Talpur Wadda police post.

In another incident, three armed men robbed a motorcycle from Niaz Ali and injured him on Wednesday near Mengho Faqir Shar Thari Mirwah taluka.
