SAHIWAL, May 15: Three people died of heatstroke here on Saturday. Mir Shahzad, a truck driver of Bannu who was brought to the hospital in a serious condition died. Haji Muhammad Ali (65) of Chak 140/9-L and Muhammad Hanif of 45/12-L were shifted to the DHQ hospital but could not survive.

Many people, including schoolchildren, reportedly fainted in the overloaded buses.

BAIL CANCELLED: Anti-corruption special judge on Saturday cancelled the pre-arrest bail of a union council secretary and he reportedly escaped from the court.

Shaukat Ali of UC-88/9-L allegedly embezzled funds amounting to Rs60,000 and Nazim Sabaar Idrees had got a case registered against him.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested two schoolteachers Muhammad Tufail and Ali Ahmed for getting employment in the education department against fake matriculation certificates.
