SUKKUR, May 29: Some social welfare and political organizations have started meetings with Baloch and Mahar Sardars in Sukkur and Ghotki to resolve the dispute among Mahar, Almani and Korai tribes.

Announcing this in Daharki on Friday, Jam Abdul Fateh Samejo, the convener of these meetings, said that the meetings were being held on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar.

Mr Samejo said that a high-level committee of these parties would meet Sardar Rahim Bozdar, Sardar Ahmad Ali Pitafi, MNA Raja Khan Mahar and Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar on Saturday and would later announce the date for reconciliation among the tribes.

The committee had met the chief minister in Karachi on Thursday.

Later, talking to journalists, Mr Samejo said that the chief minister had assured that if the Mahar tribe was found indulged in any offensive, it would be dealt with according to law.
