HYDERABAD, June 12: The local leaders of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has hailed the decision of chief election commissioner to declare the unofficial results of polling for two National Assembly and one Sindh Assembly seats in Karachi as null and void.

In a joint statement issued here on Saturday, MPA Abdul Rehman Rajput and other local leaders of the MMA said that the decision was the manifestation of people's aspirations.

They, however, demanded that the terrorists, who were responsible for the killing of people on May 12, must be punished.

They said that terrorists had destroyed the peace of Karachi and made the lives of its residents miserable.

They said that the federal government should not to be blackmailed by the terrorists and take effective steps against them.

The MMA leaders also demanded removal of the Sindh governor.
