NAWABSHAH, July 3: Two persons were killed and 12 injured when a Nawabshah-bound passenger bus overturned on the Sanghar road on Saturday.

The speedy bus (P-0289) coming from Jam Sahib overturned due to breaking of its tie-rod at Sakhi Umeed Ali bus stop.

As a result, Sadoro, 35, son of Hussain Bukhsh, the cleaner of the bus, and Nazir Hussain, Mugheri 45. died on the spot and 12 others were injured.

Those injured - Allah Ditto, Mohammad Usman, Hashim Ali, Mohammad Iqbal, Gulsher, Sanju, Sujawal, Khan, Murad Bukhsh, Nabi Bukhsh, Taj Mohammad, Atta Mohammad and Nisar Ahmed - were brought to the Peoples Medical College Hospital here, where they have been admitted.

The bus driver escaped after the accident.

Later, Nawabshah District Nazim Faryal Talpur visited those injured at the hospital.

DEMISE: Raja Nawab Qureshi, a founder member of the National Peoples Party, died of heart attack here on Saturday. He was 55.

ROBBERY: Seven unidentified armed bandits barged into the house of a social worker, Mushtaq Pirzada, in Bhangwar Colony here, looted cash, gold, motorcycle and other valuable items and escaped.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

BODY: The body of a young addict was found near the Habib Sugar Mills here on Saturday.
