KARACHI, July 3: A senior artiste of Pakistan Television, Hassam Qazi, died here of a heart attack on Saturday evening. Hassam was about 46 years of age and leaves behind a widow and three children.

He had suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Liaquat National Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His body will be taken to Quetta, his hometown, for burial.

Hassam Qazi had begun his career with PTV Quetta Centre in 1984 and 'Khali Haath' was his first play and performed in various plays and programmes.

Hassam's popular drama serials included Marvi, Silsaley, Dard Ke Fasley, and Chaun.

He also acted in a number of Balochi and Brahvi plays and serials.

His last serial, 'Miti ki moorat', was being recorded at the PTV Karachi centre these days. - APP
