OKARA, Oct 17: The government should provide similar facilities to teachers working overseas as have been announced for teachers in the country by the president and prime minister during observance of the Salam Teachers Day.

This was urged by Nadeem Khan, a teacher serving in Doha, Qatar's school running under the supervision of Pakistan embassy.

He said that teachers in Doha were facing work visa problem and the government should provide permanent work visa facility to them so that they could continue their jobs with peace of mind.

He said foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri had assured parents of Pakistani children during his visit to Doha in the near past for meeting their demands, but so far nothing had been done.
