FAISALABAD, Oct 23: The police claimed to have arrested the mastermind of Rs2.5 million robbery and booked him under the law here on Saturday.

Real estate dealer Abdul Khaliq informed Kotwali police that one Shahbaz Qamar had hatched a conspiracy of snatching the amount from his employees Sajid and Waheed. He said the unknown accused persons committed the crime at the behest of Shahbaz Qamar, a regular visitor of the area outside the Bank Al-Falah. On this information, a police team raided the house of Shahbaz Qamar and arrested him.

The police registered a robbery case against Shahbaz Qamar and started investigation.

Two masked men had snatched Rs2.5 million from employees of a real estate agent near Gujjar Basti when they were on their way after drawing the cash from a local bank on Friday.
