SAHIWAL, Nov 3: On the orders of the Lahore High Court, Multan Bench, police registered two fraud cases against as many sub-inspectors and nine others here on Wednesday.

Reports said a dacoity incident took place six months ago in the house of Munir Ahmed, a resident of Gamber, Okara Cantt. A dacoit, Khuda Yar, was arrested while his four accomplices escaped.

Investigation officer SI Bashir Ahmed made a forged agreement of reconciliation in connivance with stamp seller Master Suleman resulting in the release of the bandit. Later, Munir Ahmed filed a writ petition with the LHC.

On the court's orders, police registered a case under Sections 468, 471 and 467 of the PPC against Bashir Ahmed, Suleman, accused Khuda Yar and his accomplices Muhammad Ashraf, Maqbool Hussain and Imtiaz Ahmed.

In the other case, Rani Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Tahir of Azim Town, was shot injured by Riaz and his men seven months ago. Farid Town SI Muhammad Islam wrote a fake reconciliation agreement and discharged the case by writing in "Zimni".

Later, SI Riaz filed a writ petition and the court ordered the registration of case. The case was registered under Sections 467, 468, 471, 218 and 169 of the PPC against SI Muhammad Islam and other accused identified as Riaz, Nabi Bukhsh, Shahadat and Zafar.
