SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 16: A passenger was shot dead on resistance by four robbers on Monday night near Mehmudkot on Jaranwala Road.

Reports said the bandits boarded a Syedwala-bound bus posing as passengers. Near Mehmudkot, they started looting the passengers. Meanwhile, Mohammad Shan tried to offer resistance and was shot dead by the outlaws.

In another incident, six armed dacoits barged into the house of Shafique in Gul Shan Park, Muridke and made off with cash, jewellry and valuables.

Near the Gulfeshan Colony on Lahore Road, some unidentified men took away 11KV wire plunging the areas into darkness.

GUNNED DOWN: A factory's security guard, Wadood, was gunned down by his rival Latif on Monday.

KILLED: Two people were killed while as many sustained injuries in different incidents during the last 24 hours.

In Kot Abdullah, Sajid Ali was shot dead by his father's rivals over an old enmity.

Two groups, led by Ghohari and Akram, were trading fire when a bullet hit a youth killing him on the spot. Three others were injured in the firing.
