LAHORE, Dec 18: Pakistan Hockey Federation on Saturday announced pools and the panel of umpires for the 52nd NBP senior national championships to be played according to new format.

The departmental round will be played at Hockey Club of Pakistan in Karachi and the provincial associations will play at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium, Peshawar. Both events will be organized from Jan 3 to 11.

Following are the pools for departmental round:

Pool A: Wapda, Sui Southern Gas Compnay, Steel Mills, Police and PAF.

Pool B: PIA, Customs, ABL and Navy.

Pool C: NBP, Army, KESC, POF and Gangsu (Chinese team).

Pool D: PTCL, HBL, Railways, Higher Education Commission and PTV.

Umpires: Rashad Mahmood Butt (Railways), Mohsin Ali Khan (Karachi), Haider Rasool (ABL), Zulfiqar Haider (Police), Shoaib Riffat (Karachi), Kamran Shah (Wapda), Rana Muhammad Liaqat (Lahore), Kamran Hussain (Army), Munawwar Hussain (PTCL), Raja Anwar Kamal (PIA), Tanveer Ahmed (KESC), Zakir Hussain (Sindh), Askari Kazmi (Sindh), Rakreem Iftikhar (Sindh), Zulfiqar Hussain (Sindh), Naeem Akhtar (Quetta).

Following are the pools for provincial round:

Pool A: Punjab 'A' Sindh 'B' Balochistan 'B' and AJ&K.

Pool B: Punjab 'B' Sindh "A' NWFP 'A' and Islamabad.

Pool C: Punjab 'C' Sindh 'C' NWFP 'B' Balochistan 'A' and Northern Areas (if participates).
