KHAIRPUR: Man killed by nephew

KHAIRPUR, Feb 7: A man, who had accused his nephew of committing adultery with his daughter-in-law, was allegedly killed by the accused and his accomplices near here on Sunday night.

An FIR lodged with the Pir-jo-Goth police stated that Haji Abdullah Kalhoro had cited accused Mohammad Ismail a karo and his daughter-in-law a kari.

Enraged by the accusation, Ismail along with acomplices Abdul Sattar, Abdul Karim, Ghulam Shabbir, Mohammad Panjal and Habibullah killed him, the FIR added.

QJP: Former MPA and leader of the Qaumi Jamhoori Party Imtiaz Phulpoto has alleged that certain politicians are bent on destroying the country, as is evident by the worsening law and order situation, and rising inflation and unemployment.

Talking to journalists here on Sunday, he said that the government had failed to provide relief to the common man, adding that President Gen Pervez Musharraf claimed that the country was on the path to prosperity, but the ground reality was quite different.

INJURED: The chairman of a local watercourse committee was injured by some armed men near here on Sunday when he tried to stop them from tampering with a watercourse. Chairman Mubarak was attacked and injured with sticks and axes when he tried to stop accused Rab Dino, Pir Dino, Ali Sher, Ali Dino and Sher Khan from breaking a watercourse of the Saeed Pattan Channel.
