HYDERABAD, April 29: The president of the Sindh Hari Committee, Comrade Azhar Jatoi, has criticized the demolition of Sindhi villages in Karachi and said the action was part of a conspiracy against peace in the province.

Speaking at a meeting of the central committee of the party here on Thursday, he warned that if the demolition of the Sindhi villages was not stopped, his party would stage protests demonstrations throughout Sindh.

He said that at the first instance the Sindhi villages were pushed back by 50 feet on both sides of the Super Highway, then by 70 feet and now by 450 feet.

He said the demolition of villages on the super highway and Karachi would not be tolerated.

HUNGER STRIKE: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz activists observed token hunger strike outside the local press club on the second consecutive day here on Friday in protest against the attempted attack on the chairman of the party, Bashir Khan Qureshi and central leadership in Sann on April 25 and registration of a treason case against the JSQM leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, JSQM leaders Dhani Bux Abro, Suriah Sindh, Aakash Mallah and others said that the authorities have become frightened with the increasing popularity of JSQM and, therefore, an attempt was made on the life of the central leadership at Sann when the proceedings of the tenth death anniversary of late G.M.Syed were in progress.

They also severely criticised the registration of treason case against JSQM chairman, Basheer Khan Qureshi and other leaders.

They said that if speaking about the rights of Sindh was a crime then they would continue to commit this crime.

They warned that if a case was not registered against the attackers and the operation against the party was not stopped, a series of protest demonstrations would be held throughout the Sindh.
