Nisar Memon to take oath today

ISLAMABAD, March 4: Nisar Memon will be sworn in on Tuesday evening as federal information minister, a slot lying vacant since Javed Jabbar’s resignation several months ago, official sources said.

“There is no reshuffle, only one addition is being made in the federal Cabinet,” information secretary Anwer Mehmood said when asked to comment on reports of a possible reshuffle in the federal cabinet.

Memon was information minister in the 1993 interim government led by Moin Qureshi.

Foreign minister Abdul Sattar denied reports of he being replaced saying he was leaving for Geneva to participate in the annual Human Rights Commission meeting.
