37 PPP activists jailed

SUKKUR, March 15: Thirty-seven activists of the Pakistan People’s Party including the information secretary, PPP Sukkur, Nasrullah Baloch, have been sent to Sukkur Central Jail after registration of an FIR against them under section 353, 471, 148, and 186.

The remaining party workers who were arrested on Thursday, including former provincial minister Mir Manzoor Panhwer and Sohrab Sarki, have been released.

The majority of the released workers were residents of Jacobabad.

Former federal minister Khursheed Shah who was put under house arrest has also been released.

ACCIDENT: A man, Jan Mohammad, died after he came under the wheels of Peshawar bound Khushhal Khatak Express at a railway crossing in Jacobabad on Friday.

He was crossing railway tracks when the train reached there and crushed him to death.
