ISLAMABAD, March 20: Former prime minister and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto has condemned murderous assault on a party activist, Akhlaq Guddo, on Wednesday in Lahore in which two persons were killed.

In a statement on Wednesday, she said “the yet another incident of targeted attack in quick succession over the past several days has exposed regime’s inability to fulfil its basic responsibility of maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of the citizens.”

She said the killers and terrorists wanted to intimidate and terrorise the people of Pakistan and break their will to resist fanaticism and extremism. “This must not be allowed,” she said. Ms Bhutto demanded of the regime to apprehend the killers and award them punishment under the law. She also condoled with the families of those killed in the incident and prayed for the early recovery of Akhlaq Guddo.
