KARACHI, Jan 30 Not a single match was played on the third day in the Karachi Board Inter-collegiate girls` badminton championship at the Government College for Women on Wednesday.

Teams of DHA College, Islamia College for Women and Bahria College Karsaz reported for their fixtures only to find that their opponents had not turned up.

Surprisingly, only one match has been played in the last three days while the remaining resulted in walkovers.

The frequent walkovers have made the event a farce with finances going down the drain.

Thursday`s fixtures

Gulshan College v Cams College; Government College Landhi/Korangi No 6 v Fatimiya College.
